Q. Will my insurance company pay for a rental?

A. Not unless you have additional rental coverage. This can be added by taking to your insurance agent. If you are hit by someone else and it is deemed their fault, their insurance does have to provide you with a rental for a specific period of time. But if you don’t have coverage don’t worry we have FREE LOANER CARS!

Q. What do I do if I don’t have rental coverage?

A. You have several choices. You can always rent a car from Hertz or Enterprise. We will have pick you up and take you to your car. Or if you don’t want the added expense, we have a FREE LOANER CAR you can borrow with a copy of your driver’s license and full coverage insurance policy.

Q. What warranty do I have?

A. We are a preferred shop with 90% of all major insurance companies. This means that we have their stamp of approval and that only do we provide written warranty for the as long as you own the vehicle and your insurance company includes the same guarantee. 

Q. How will I know when my car is done?

A. You will be notified by phone when your vehicle is ready to be picked up. Also feel free to check as we go along in the process. We are here to help if you have any questions or concerns.

Q. Do I need more than one estimate?

A. No, old practice used to be to get 3 estimates that is not what is needed any longer. You bring it to our shop where we are COD or preferred and we can take care of the rest. We deal directly with your insurance company once a claim is filled.

Q. Does my insurance have the right to tell me where to repair?

A. No, you can have your vehicle fixed at any shop of your choice. They may recommend someone that they know who does a great job and is one of their preferred shops. Of which we are!

Q. How does my deductible work and who do I pay it to?

A. It is your responsibility to pay Bob’s Auto Body & Auto Repair when you pick up your vehicle. If you have a coupon please remember you must present that at time of service.

Q. Can Bob’s Auto Body & Auto Repair help bury my deductible?

A. NO. When you purchase you insurance policy you sign a contract stating that is the amount you will be pay for any repairs you are responsible for. For us to do any different is fraud and the penalties for such an act are severe.

Q. The insurance company said my car was a “Total Loss” what does this mean?

A. Unfortunately the cost of repairing the vehicle is more than the ACV (actual cash value). When they deem your car a “total loss” you will need to remove your personal belongings and tag. If this unfortunate situation happens we do have a Used Cars and our guys would be happy to get you into something else.
